Bread Dumplings by: Maria Mattes
1 large loaf Italian Bread (cubed and dried)
1 1/4 cup warm milk
4 eggs
2 tbsp butter
half an onion chopped
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp chopped parsley
Soak bread in warm milk for hour (cover bowl with clean dish towel).
Saute onions in butter and then add to bread.
Add eggs and spices. Mix thoroughly and roll into 2 inch balls.
Cook for ~15min in boiling water.
